Acupuncture
Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method for over 4,000 years to help millions of people become well and stay well. Acupuncture promotes the body's natural healing. It enhances recuperative power and immunity, supports physical and emotional health, and improves overall function and well-being. It is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical problems which involves the stimulation of specific acupoints located along energetic pathways. Fine sterile needles are placed gently in acupoints to promote the movement of Qi and rebalance energy in the body’s organ systems.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine enhances recuperative power, immunity, and a state of well-being affecting all other aspects of health, and is safe, effective, and gently nurturing. With over 23 centuries of continuous use, traditional Chinese medicine approaches disharmonies from within a framework that addresses the patient's constitution. Both the disharmony and the essential physical makeup of the individual are taken into account for diagnosis and treatment. Chinese herbal therapy treats the imbalance underlying a condition's symptoms, as well as the symptoms themselves. Each treatment is tailored to the individual.
Fertility
Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, has been used for thousands of years to enhance fertility. Whether you are just beginning to plan for pregnancy and would like to increase your chances or whether you have been trying for years, fertility acupuncture helps prepare your body for conception by improving the flow of energy and blood in the body, correcting hormonal imbalances and bringing the body into its optimum state of relaxation and equilibrium. This creates a more ideal environment for pregnancy to take place. Whether conceiving naturally or with the help of reproductive medical techniques, acupuncture can help you.
Women's Health
Women of all ages can benefit from acupuncture care.
For young women just beginning to menstruate, acupuncture and/or herbal medicine can help relieve cramps and other symptoms of PMS through balancing hormones. The menstrual cycle can be comfortable and regular so that it won't interfere with normal activities. PMS symptoms usually begin to disappear quickly with treatment, and the benefits of treating these imbalances now will last a lifetime.
Chronic menstrual problems respond well to more long term care. Acupuncture combined with herbal medicine balances hormones and restrains heavy bleeding associated with fibroids and endometriosis, and relieves pain and other symptoms.
For women who are trying to become pregnant, acupuncture can be very helpful in solving problems of infertility (see segment regarding fertility).
After childbirth, acupuncture and/or herbal medicine are very helpful in restoring and replenishing the new mother's energy.
For women in menopause, hot flashes and night sweats can be greatly reduced to make this time of transition much more comfortable. Treatment focuses on stopping excessive sweating, restoring sleep, and balancing shen, or spirit, for clarity and energy.
Homeopathy
Many people confuse homeopathic medicine with herbal remedies or with the broad field of alternative or natural medicine. Homeopathic medicine has its own sophisticated system of using substances from the plant, mineral, chemical, and animal kingdoms. Homeopathy's basic premise is called the “principle of similars".
Because symptoms represent the best efforts of our body in its defenses against infection or stress, it makes sense to utilize a medicine that helps and mimics this defense rather than that inhibits or suppresses it.
Immunizations and allergy treatments are two of the very few applications in modern medicine today that actually stimulate the body's own defenses in the prevention or treatment of specific diseases.

Qi Gong
The practice of qi gong energizes the body’s vital forces, balances yin and yang, strengthens blood circulation, improves blood oxygen, and improves emotional and mental states. Through the practice of qi gong, a whole set of beneficial physiological and psychological conditions emerge. We will customize a set of therapeutic qi gong exercises for interested patients as a stand-alone treatment or to enhance other treatments and specific health goals.
Custom Detoxification Programs
Detoxification can be a vital part of the path to deep, complete emotional and physical wellness. Testing is done to find the most complete synergistic combination of tools for each individual, as well as food sensitivities that may be undermining wellness.
A custom detoxification program may consist of using only whole foods, or a simple homeopathy program. It may include one or more of the following: clinical nutrition, herbal medicine (East and West), homeopathy, Detoxamin chelation suppository, zeolites, Standard Process Purification or Detox Balance, allergy elimination, emotional release work, simple breathing techniques, and custom qi gong exercises to open up the meridians, and to move and build qi.
